These one-way cytology funnels / cytofunnels are used for applying a thin cell layer to a microscope slide by means of centrifugation. The application area for cells has a diameter of about 6 mm (about 28 mm²). We offer both versions: For use with a reusable metal clip, as well as a version with integrated plastic base as a complete immobilising solution, e.g. In infectious samples.

  • For use without metal clips in the Shandon CytoSpin® centrifuge as well as in compatible rotors
  • Supplied plastic base (instead of metal clip) is a complete solution, for example, for highly infected specimens
  • The pre-fabricated filter cards ensure consistent, reliable results, each Zyllologie funnel is also supplied with a lid to close the hopper
  • Saves complex decontamination and cleaning of the metal clip or funnel and reduces the risk of contamination or cross-contamination

720-1863: For metal clip, with white filter card, for up to 0,5 ml sample volume.
720-1945: For metal clip, with brown filter card, for up to 0,4 ml low cell samples, such as spinal fluid. The brown filter card ensures a more uniform deposition of cells by slow liquid absorption.
720-2947: For metal clip, individually packed, split sampler for simultaneous application of two samples, with white filter card, for sample volumes of up to 0,5 ml.
720-1864: For metal clip, split sampler for simultaneous application of two samples, with white filter card, for sample volumes of up to 0,5 ml.

720-1865: With integrated plastic clip, complete one-way solution, with white filter card, for up to 0,5 ml sample volume.
720-1948: With integrated plastic clip, complete infusion solution, with brown filter card, for up to 0,4 ml cell samples, such as spinal fluid. The brown filter card ensures a more uniform deposition of cells by slow liquid absorption.
720-1866: With integrated plastic clip, complete one-way solution, divided test funnel for simultaneous application of two samples with white filter card, for sample volumes up to 0,5 ml.
