Descripción: Vertebrate neuron-specific nuclear protein called NeuN (Neuronal Nuclei) is an excellent marker for neurons in primary cultures and in retinoic acid-stimulated P19 cells. It is also useful for identifying neurons in transplants. NeuN is a neuron-specific, DNA-binding nuclear protein in vertebrates. In mice, NeuN is observed in most neuronal cell types throughout the nervous system, including cerebellum, cerebral cortex, hippocampus, thalamus and spinal cord, as well as the dorsal root ganglia, sympathetic chain ganglia and enteric ganglia of the peripheral nervous system. NeuN immunoreactivity is first observed in neurons when they become post-mitotic and are initiating cellular and morphological differentiation. No staining is observed in proliferative zones. NeuN has been used as an immunohistochemical marker for excitotoxic lesions of the brain as well as in the diagnosis of a wide range of human tissue specimens from the central and peripheral nervous systems.

Descripción: Estradiol (known as alpha Estradiol or 17 alpha Estradiol) is a biologically active estrogen in human breast cancer cells in tissue culture.17-estradiol and its selective receptor, ER-X, are not part of a classical hormone/receptor endocrine system but of a system with important autocrine/paracrine functions in the developing and adult brain. 17-Estradiol may have enormous implications for hormone replacement strategies at the menopause and in the treatment of such neurodegenerative disorders as Alzheimer?s disease and ischemic stroke.

Descripción: NKHC1 is a neuronal-specific component of a multi-subunit “molecular motor” complex that mediates intracellular organelle transport. Mutations in the gene encoding NKHC1 cause autosomal dominant spastic paraplegia 10. NKHC1 has a pan-neuronal distribution in the nervous system. Rat tissue extracts by immunoblot of NKHC1 can produce a doublet only in brain and sciatic nerve tissue. NKHC1 is distributed throughout the central nervous system and is enriched in subsets of neurons. Within cultured hippocampal neurons, NKHC1 is concentrated in the perinuclear region of the cell body. Kinesin superfamily proteins like NKHC1 are the molecular motors conveying cargos along microtubules.

Descripción: Adapalene, a synthetic naphthoic acid derivative, is a selective agonist of retinoic acid receptor (RAR)-β and RAR-γ (Kds = 34 and 130 nM, respectively). At 0,1-10 µM, adapalene dose-dependently inhibits sebocyte growth, proliferation and differentiation in a primary rat preputial cell culture system. Adapalene demonstrates anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activity by inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase-catalyzed leukotriene production and expression of toll-like receptor 2 on human monocytes. It is commonly used for the study of the pathogenesis and treatment of acne vulgaris.

Descripción: The Pearl™ Monoclonal IgG Purification Kit allows for the rapid purification of antibodies from cell culture supernatant and ascites fluid. The Pearl™ IgG purification resin binds the high abundant, non-IgG proteins (i.e. albumin) and allows the IgG molecules to pass through in a physiological buffer. The IgG molecules can be stored or used in downstream applications without further clean-up, such as ammonium sulphate precipitation.
